1. Damaged/ Incorrect Items
Of course I will refund the cost of, or replace, damaged and incorrect items.
I take photographs of all orders as they are packed. If they arrive damaged, please send me a picture so that I can support a claim against the shipping service. If I have sent you the wrong book, accept my apologies and keep it with my compliments. It is not worth me paying the shipping for you to return a book.
2. Your Consumer Rights to Change Your Mind
Physical Books
Your right to return physical products is set down in the Consumer Contracts Regulations. They must be returned in undamaged/resaleable condition. Physical books are sealed with a protective wrapper. You may change your mind about the purchase and return a book within the 14-day period set down by law, but not once you break the seal and open it because then you are deemed to have used it.
E-books and Other Downloadable Files
According to the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, downloadable digital content is neither a product, nor a service, and cannot be “returned”. You are still entitled to claim your buyer’s remorse on the purchase of an e-book within 14-days, but not once you have downloaded it.
3. I Did Not Like It
Writing is art. I do not issue refunds because you did not like the book. This is like demanding your money back from the cinema because you did not enjoy the film.
